We Are
Staying Jamaican

We've already made a huge difference for more than 20,000 women

About the Project

It is our vision to instill a greater sense of identity and to inform all Jamaicans of all things relevant to Jamaican Culture. Especially those within the Jamaican diaspora, who are several generations removed

Our mission is to inform and educate all Jamaicans of their culture and heritage. The main mechanisms of this mission are materials that detail the main topics of our history, culture and cuisine and further, our readers, who are compelled to inform and educate others so that all our descendants will be well informed of where they have come from and what they are.

Within this website, you will find our blog, which will bring you up to speed on numerous pertinent topics. We will leave contemporary matters in your hands, our blog will deal with historical facts and discussion. The blog's primary purpose is to raise awareness and educate, but also, we intend it to be a place, where Jamaicans can also share their stories and read other's stories.

This whole thing began when during a conversation with my friend's Dad, "Dragon", I realised I did not really know anything about Jamaican History, or rather, not as much as I felt I should, considering how familiar I was with European History. Jamaican here pertaining to the Jamaican people, and not the country of Jamaica specifically.
