First and foremost, thank you for joining us on this journey!

What is the journey I hear you ask? Its a journey of information and education on Jamaican History, Culture and Cuisine.

Why are we going on this journey you ask? Because deep knowledge of Jamaican History and Culture is not common to many within the Jamaican Diaspora.

Can you expand on that answer? Because there is a growing loss of identity with each generation removed from Native Jamaicans.

The road to wisdom is long, and winding, with no clear indication of where the end may be. The crest of the hill may suggest the end of the climb but there is another hill beyond the hill.

Where would you position yourself on the image below? We can also use the following image to depict the quest of knowledge we will be undertaking - we will become increasingly more adept, but ultimately, we may find we need to know much more.

For the unforeseeable future we will endeavour to provide articles and other materials in the pursuit of knowledge and education - as we learn, you will learn!

It is worth noting that this blog will mostly deal with historical matters primarily and will not comment on contemporary matters - though we might deliberate on the rum cup dance and who can do it the best in the office!
